Privacy Policy

Luvv.Wavv ("we," "us," "our") is a mindfulness, soul-guided companion for people healing from heartbreak. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose — you're trusting us with some of your most personal thoughts, and you deserve to know exactly what happens to them.

What we collect

• Account information: your email, a securely hashed password (we never store or see your actual password), and your date of birth (used only to confirm you meet our age requirements).
• Your journey content: journal entries, your conversations with your AI companion, and your chosen companion.
• Community content: anything you post, react to, or message in the community — tied internally to your account for safety and moderation, but shown publicly only under a randomly generated anonymous handle, never your name or email.
• Optional contact info: a phone number, only if you opt in to SMS check-ins.
• Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Basic usage data: when you last used the app, so we know when a gentle check-in might help.

How we use it

• To run the core experience — your journey, journal, and companion conversations.
• To personalize your AI companion's responses using relevant context from your own journal, so it actually knows you.
• To send you a check-in email or text if you've gone quiet for a while, and only if you've opted in.
• To keep the community space safe — reviewing reported content, enforcing our Community Guidelines, and detecting patterns of abuse.
• To process your subscription payment.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the app:

• Anthropic — powers your AI companion. Relevant journal context and chat messages are sent to generate responses.
• Stripe — processes payments. We never see your full card details.
• Resend — sends check-in and account emails.
• Twilio — sends check-in texts, only if you've opted in.
• Cloudflare — hosts the app and database.

Anonymity in the community

Your community handle is randomly generated and never displayed alongside your real name or email. We do keep an internal link between your account and your community activity — this is what lets us act on reports, enforce bans, and keep the space safe. That internal link is never shown to other members.

Your rights

You can export a copy of everything we have on you, or permanently delete your account and all associated data, at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription.

Children's privacy

Luvv.Wavv is not available to anyone under 13. Members between 13 and 17 have full access to their journey, journal, and companion, but not to the community feed or direct messages — those are restricted to members 18 and older.

Security

Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2 and never stored in plain text. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure — please use a unique password for your account.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll let you know by email or an in-app notice before it takes effect.
